Every year SSNAP produces an Annual Report. Annual Reports are wide-ranging, patient-facing reports that combine various components of SSNAP. Annual reports show the progress made and remaining challenges facing stroke care teams. Annual reports include commentary, case studies, patient quotes, and data visualisations (graphs and maps).

SSNAP Acute Organisational Audit Reports

In the Acute Organisational Audit, SSNAP measures the structure of stroke services that treat patients immediately after their stroke against evidence-based standards.

Key areas SSNAP measures:

• Staffing levels
• Number of stroke unit hospital beds
• Access to specialist services and treatments (like surgeries and brain scans)

SSNAP Post-acute Organisational Audit Reports

In the Post-acute Organisational Audit, SSNAP measures the structure of stroke services that support patients’ long-term recovery from their stroke against evidence-based standards.

Key areas SSNAP measures:

• Which types of therapy the service provides (physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, etc.)
• If the service only treats stroke patients
• If services offer vocational rehabilitation (rehabilitation to overcome barriers to accessing, maintaining, or returning to employment).
• Waiting times for referrals to the service
• Service management structures 
• Who the service is funded by

SSNAP Therapy Report

The Therapy Report was produced for therapists providing care to stroke patients and staff involved in entering data on to SSNAP. The report provides a comprehensive summary of the therapy aspects of SSNAP. The aim of this report is to improve the quality of data collected, and promote consistency in data collection and interpretation of the therapy metrics and results.
